With Leah Smart. Explore the art of combining materials and techniques to create dynamic work with often surprising and satisfying results. Explore how to use a mix of contemporary and traditional techniques, like layering, collage, assemblage, paint, texture, using drawing tools, fabric, paper, dry and wet media and more. Suitable for beginners and the more experienced. Every term explores a new theme. You’ll be encouraged to experiment and develop confidence in trying new approaches and freshening up your thinking. You’ll learn how mixed media approaches have been used by artists throughout art history, and in contemporary practice too. Mixed Media courses run on Tuesdays at 6.30pm-8.30pm during term time throughout the year.
