Course Details

With Leah Smart. An afternoon workshop introducing you to the art of combining materials and techniques to create dynamic work with often surprising and satisfying results. Explore how to use a mix of contemporary and traditional techniques, like layering, collage, assemblage, paint, texture, using drawing tools, fabric, paper, dry and wet media and more. Suitable for beginners and the more experienced.  You’ll be encouraged to experiment and develop confidence in trying new approaches and freshening up your thinking. You’ll learn how mixed media approaches have been used by artists throughout art history, and in contemporary practice too.

Experience this as a one off workshop, it also forms an ideal precursor to our regular Mixed Media courses which run on Thursdays at 10am-12.30pm during term time, throughout the year.
