You will experiment with a variety of composition and lighting techniques to photograph your chosen subjects, identifying challenges and how to resolve them. By looking closely at the work of renowned studio photographers, you will learn to style your images to create aesthetically pleasing photographs that showcase your chosen subject and your skills. Ideal for anyone using social media platforms, whether for home or business use, and a great source material for still life drawing and painting.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a selection of food/product items they wish to photograph to the workshop.
With artist and professional photographer Janine Cooper Plant.
An approach to taking pictures with a difference. With less emphasis on techy camera controls and exposure settings  (although you’ll be able to learn all that too)  you’ll discover ways to “see” differently, be encouraged to enjoy the process of capturing images with real impact. Structured and accessible workshops ideal for beginners and improvers, designed for use with regular camera phones, and if you have them, digital cameras.

Suitable for adult beginners and improvers to digital photography, also for A level and Foundation course students.

Photography workshops run on selected Saturdays throughout the year.
